Effective October 1, 2025, the Pinellas County Jail will transition to a new video visitation system provided by Smart Communications.

Smart Communications offers a two-way, real-time video visitation platform that allows you to speak directly with your loved ones in their housing unit at the jail.

All visits will now be conducted remotely utilizing your personal device. The Visitation Center at 14500 49th Street will be permanently CLOSED; therefore, there will not be onsite video visits.

 Photo identification will be required when registering, please include an image of yourself, your identification, and for the back photo a picture of your work identification (for ex. Bar Card)

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office shall allow professional visitors (attorneys) to sign in and conduct video visitations remotely.
